Blurb: What happens when a motion picture studio
in 1920 is taken over by a crime family? Addy and Zeke, a stunt double and a
director's assistant, work with the police to bring the gangsters to justice.
But Addy's cousin has married into the crime family. When Addy is given a key
to bring down the family and the studio . . . will she use it?
Review: Wow!
What a story. It starts off with a bang, or should I say fire that kept
my attention and made me want to read more. Poor Addy and what she goes
through, especially after her cousin marries into a crime family who has
ulterior motives for the movie studio she works for.
Zeke, who also works at Majestic, is attracted to Addy, but they both have different backgrounds, a different ethnic heritage. Addy is half Mexican but Zeke doesn’t care. He stays by Addy’s side even when Muriel, Addy’s cousin elopes with Tony, a member of the Giovannis Crime Family.
I don’t want to give too much of the story away. I will say that once I sat down and started reading, I couldn’t stop. I got involved with the characters, related with the situations and felt I was a part of the story. Romance will never die no matter how much water some people toss on to douse the flames. Read Silver Screen Heroes and join the magic of an era long past and feel the miracle of true love. Excellent read!
