Blurb:

An in-depth study of why your communication styles are not wrong, just different!

Finally an answer for the number one problem in marriages-communication! This analysis of the vital principles of cross-gender communication helps couples recognize they speak two different languages. They are sending each other messages in "code" but won't be able to crack that code until they realize that she listens to hear the language of love and he listens for respect.

Most advice on this subject fails to understand that husbands and wives are wired very differently, and when those wires get crossed, the communication sparks can fly!

Dr. Eggerich's best-selling book, Love and Respect, launched a revolution in how couples relate to each other. In The Language of Love and Respect he shares how that message can be applied.

Formerly titled Cracking the Communication Code.

Review:

In The Language of Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, a long misunderstood truth is skillfully revealed and thoroughly discussed. Lots of practical application is provided for those of us that are on the slow learning curve.

What am I talking about? It has to do with the problem men and women, especially those in marital bonds, have in communicating their thoughts and emotions in a way that doesn't bring about armed conflict. Founded on scripture, and who would know more about this subject than the designer of men and women, a reader is shown the practical value of its application.

How we speak, when we speak, and the manner in which we speak, is decoded for us into two simple camps of communication, the PINKS and the BLUES. Now, I’m not going to go into detail about this because that would rob you of the fun of reading this book for yourself. And one more little tidbit, if you think your spouse is at times a little CRAZY, this book will prove you to be not only right but very perceptive, as well.

Once you learn that as a female you hear in the language of love and that a male hears in the language of respect, you’re halfway through the maze of marital communication. The other half, I’ll leave you to discover as you read The Language of Love and Respect.
