As a teacher Robert Ahearne has summers off and this time he’s staying in a little village in Ireland learning Gaelic.  When another student starts harassing a local barmaid, there’s only one thing to do, team up and avoid the man together.

Suddenly learning Gaelic just got a whole lot more interesting.

Review

I found myself reading Alana's character in an Irish tongue. Loved the story, loved the characters, especially Alana's mother. Jack's difficult character  completed the story line. With I could find more books with the ability to draw you into the story the way this one did. Descriptions were enough to set you in the moment without bogging you down with unnecessary details. The ending was and unexpected surprise. My only disappointment was that the story was too short.
